Job summary

Brazosport College is seeking an Esports Program Assistant to support the competitive Esports program on 100% on-site basis. You will recruit and retain students, create training plans, and coordinate travel for competitions while fostering a culture of sportsmanship and academics.

You will analyze gameplay, stay current with game patches, and mentor student-athletes both academically and personally, working with coaches, captains, managers, and administration to grow the program.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• Strong understanding of the competitive Esports scene and popular titles.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with Esports Casting and/or productions is preferred.
• Organizational skills to manage schedules, travel, and logistics.
• Coaching experience in competitive gaming is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and retain students for the Esports programs.
• Create and implement training programs and practice schedules.
• Foster team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, and academics.
• Analyze gameplay to identify strengths and weaknesses.
• Stay updated with patches, meta changes, and strategies.
• Coordinate travel and accommodations for competitions and recruiting.
• Mentor student-athletes academically and personally.
• Coordinate with coaches and administration to ensure program success.
• Assist in developing the Esports program and casting team.
