Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an Applications Engineer to design ESP systems, support field operations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize well performance. You will work on ESP applications throughout the lifecycle, performing design calculations, and providing on-demand technical support.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science, experience or interest in artificial lift, and willingness to travel to field sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• Experience or strong interest in ESP/artificial lift systems and well performance.

Responsibilities

• Design ESP systems, pump sizing, motor loading, and cable selection.
• Support ESP installations, startups, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Collaborate with Service Delivery, Sales, and field teams to meet production objectives and safety standards.
• Document engineering calculations, simulations, and design changes across ESP lifecycle.
• Travel to rig sites and customer facilities as required.
