The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a chemical/biological science or MLS, with 1+ year of lab testing experience or MLS degree. Strong computer skills and teamwork are essential. Overtime may be needed.

Qualifications

• One year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree.
• Proficient with computers and laboratory information systems.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures per SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results for quality patient care.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies.
• Assist with processing of specimens as needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and PPE usage.
