Fulton County Schools seeks a Parent Liaison to support ESOL families and build participation in school programs. The role emphasizes coordinating services, workshops, and information dissemination for ESOL parents and their families, including health and rights resources.

The ideal candidate will be bilingual, have at least 2 years in education or social services, and demonstrate strong organizational and communication abilities in a community-facing role.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED not negotiable.
• Bilingual in English and at least one other language required.
• Minimum of 2 years in education or social services environments.
• Strong interpersonal and public relations skills.
• Able to plan and manage programs with good organization.

Mansioni

• Interact with parents and ensure opportunities for involvement in schools.
• Assist staff in implementing NCLB ESOL guidelines.
• Provide annual ESOL parent orientation about school access and ESOL program.
• Increase ESOL parental involvement and help navigate the educational system.
• Offer ESOL-related health, development, rights, responsibilities information.
• Coordinate services for children through partnerships with agencies.
• Help parents access community opportunities and services.
• Facilitate parent workshops and direct training and job interview resources.
• Conduct surveys of ESOL parent/student needs (written and oral).
• Document records for all state and federal reporting requirements.
• Develop partnerships with social agencies and attend coalition meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the administrator.
