Job summary

Horry County Schools in Conway Education Center is seeking a Positive Pay Teacher Aide for Adult Education. The role supports school administration and faculty in serving non-English speaking students and communicating with their families.

You will provide ESOL support in classrooms, translate communications, and act as a liaison between teachers, parents, and translation providers, helping with paperwork and records as needed.

Qualifications

• Paraprofessional requirements as listed in the job posting.
• 60 college credit hours or associate degree or paraprofessional certificate.
• Ability to assist ESOL programs and translate communications.

Responsibilities

• Support English language learners in mainstream and ESOL classes.
• Serve as liaison between teachers and parents of English language learners.
• Translate oral and written communication between schools and families.
• Serve as liaison between school and non-English speaking community.
• Serve as liaison between school and translation providers.
• Assist teachers by locating, preparing and organizing instructional materials.
• Assume other duties as assigned.
