Job summary

EF Education First Ltd. in Thornwood, NY is seeking an ESL Teacher for Summer 2027 to deliver EF's English language program to young learners. You will plan engaging lessons, manage classrooms, and assess student progress while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Requires a university degree or equivalent, TEFL certificate, complete fluency in English, and the right to live and work in the United States. Housing is provided on a limited taxable basis.

Responsibilities

• Teaching classes every weekday following the EF methodology.
• Lesson planning and preparation before each class.
• Classroom management.
• Facilitating testing during the course, including marking tests.
• Monitoring daily attendance and keeping up-to-date records and paperwork.
• Attending all teacher meetings.
• Monitoring student progress and personal goals to help them in their language improvement
• Ensuring the EF behavior code is always followed by students and informing management immediately if there are any issues or problems.
• Responding to problems and emergency situations should they arise.

Compensation: $20.00 - $24.00 / hour
