EF in Thornwood, NY, seeks an ESL Teacher for Summer 2027 to deliver the EF academic program through structured and interactive lessons while ensuring high customer service and student satisfaction. Responsibilities include planning, teaching, classroom management, and monitoring student progress, with an emphasis on a positive learning environment.

Qualifications include a university degree or equivalent, TEFL, and fluency in English.

Formación

• Complete fluency in English.

• Attend training before your contract commences.

Responsabilidades

• Teaching classes every weekday following the EF methodology.
• Lesson planning and preparation before each class.
• Classroom management.
• Facilitating testing during the course, including marking tests.
• Monitoring daily attendance and keeping up-to-date records and paperwork.
• Attending all teacher meetings.
• Monitoring student progress and personal goals to help them in their language improvement.
• Ensuring the EF behavior code is always followed by students and informing management immediately if there are any issues or problems.
• Responding to problems and emergency situations should they arise.

Role: ESL Teacher - Summer 2027

Location: Thornwood, NY

Compensation: $20.00 - $24.00 / hour

(housing provided as a taxable fringe benefit on a limited basis)

• All applicants must be age 21 or older

The Role
