Qualifications

RIDE Elementary Education Teacher KG-6 and All Grades ESOL PK-12 certifications required.

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare and deliver lessons aligned to grade level standards.
Provide scaffolds for multilingual learners to access content.
Instruct and monitor use of materials and technology.
Establish clear objectives and provide feedback on work.
Manage classroom behavior in a welcoming, culturally inclusive environment.
Use data to monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies.
Maintain records of students' progress and development.
Communicate with students, families in understandable language.
Participate in department, school, district and professional development meetings.
Make recommendations during IEP meetings regarding instruction and assessments.
Assign and grade classwork, homework, tests per state standards.
