Job summary

• High School Diploma
• Paraprofessional Certification or 60 transcribed hours at a post-secondary institution
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or small group instruction as determined and directed by Instructional Coach or Building Principal
• Collaborate with Instructional Coach to identify the needs of students, set learning goals and targets, and problem solve to develop best practices for continuous academic growth of students learning.
• Teach targeted intervention to small groups of students daily using research-based strategies and resources
• Meet regularly with the Instructional Coach as well as classroom teachers to plan literacy and math instruction that correlates with the individual student’s needs
• Attend professional development to enhance knowledge of pedagogy and content
• Perform other duties and responsibilities related to literacy as assigned by Instructional Coach and/or Building Principal
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed or as directed by the Instructional Coach, Building Principal, Special Education Coordinator, Curriculum Director, or Superintendent
