Job summary

World Relief in Washington State seeks an ESL Program Assistant to support our ESL team with enrollments, pretesting, attendance tracking, and classroom assistance. The role includes occasional tutoring, substitute teaching, and coordinating with volunteers to ensure smooth program operation.

This is a part-time, 24-hour-per-week position with a hybrid schedule (in-office Thursdays and some Wednesdays, up to one remote day per week) and occasional travel to Thurston or Whatcom County offices as

Qualifications

• Mature Christian faith and commitment to World Relief's mission.
• Ability to work with people from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR standards.
• Willingness to travel temporarily to Thurston or Whatcom County offices.

Responsibilities

• Assist ESL team with student enrollments, pretesting and posttesting.
• Lead or co-lead pretesting sessions and support instructors with students.
• Serve as floating class assistant and occasionally substitute teach ESL classes.
• Maintain student and volunteer records; manage attendance and enrollment data.
• Coordinate with staff and participate in team meetings and trainings.
