Job summary

Spring-Ford Area School District seeks an English Language Development Teacher to support students with limited English proficiency and to implement the ESL program across grade levels at Upper Providence Elementary School.

The role includes administering WIDA assessments, maintaining ESL records, and coordinating with IST/IEP teams, families, and staff to ensure language development and academic success.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid and active PA ESL Program Specialist PK-12 certification and PK-4 or K-6 certification.
• Experience with ESL programs and state language development standards recommended.
• Ability to coordinate with IST, SAP, IEP and MDT teams and families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-boarding for students who indicate a language other than English at home.
• Schedule ESL instruction based on language levels and needs.
• Administer WIDA assessments (Access) annually.
• Maintain ESL student records and monitor reclassification.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support accommodations/modifications.
• Participate in IST, SAP, IEP and MDT meetings and family engagement.
