The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in education with Tennessee teaching licensure, administrative certification and ESL endorsement preferred, and brings several years of classroom teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in education or related area with 11 years total education/experience.
• Tennessee teaching license is required.
• Administrative certification and ESL endorsement preferred.
• Minimum four years of successful classroom teaching experience.
• Technology proficiency including video presentation, word processing, databases and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Develops, monitors and implements curriculum to meet system needs.
• Leads instructional strategies to enhance K-12 instruction.
• Collaborates with professionals to develop research-based assessment techniques.
• Represents liaison between Curriculum and Instruction and teachers/principals.
• Plans professional development activities and supports orientation of new teachers.
• Disaggregates student data to identify needs and set program goals.
• Prepares reports and maintains records related to assigned activities.
