Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking an Instructional Advisor, ESL to lead curriculum development and support system-wide instruction. The role emphasizes innovative problem solving and maintaining standards of excellence in curriculum and instruction.

You will collaborate with teachers, principals and other professionals, design instructional strategies, lead professional development, and assist with data-driven instruction to boost student mastery of standards.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in education or a related area plus an additional 5 years related experience, or equivalent for a total education/experience of 11 years.
• Tennessee teaching license is required.
• Administrative certification and ESL endorsement preferred.
• A minimum of four years of successful experience as a classroom teacher.
• Proficient in the use of technology to include video presentation, word processing, database and spreadsheet applications.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in developing, monitoring and implementing appropriate curriculum to meet identified needs of the system.
• Serves as an instructional teacher leader in the assigned curricular area, developing and implementing appropriate curriculum and meeting identified needs to address the rigor or the Common Core State Standards.
• Designs and disseminates instructional strategies that enhance instruction in the assigned curricular area.
• Provides assistance to all professional school-based personnel regarding the assigned curricular area and collaborates with others to develop effective instructional and assessment techniques.
• Directs the preparation and maintenance of narrative and statistical reports and participates in program planning and reporting.
