Job summary

Memphis-Shelby County Schools are seeking a curriculum leader to drive the development and implementation of state-aligned curriculum across the district. This role requires expert knowledge, strong collaboration, and a focus on student mastery of standards through data-driven instruction.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s in education, Tennessee licensure, and a track record of classroom teaching success, with additional ESL endorsement preferred and experience guiding professional

Qualifications

Master’s degree in education or related area plus 5 years of related experience (total 11 years) required.
Tennessee teaching license is required.
Administrative certification and ESL endorsement preferred.
Minimum four years of successful experience as a classroom teacher.
Proficiency in technology including video presentation, word processing, databases and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

Lead development, monitoring and implementation of curriculum to meet system needs.
Provide instructional leadership and coach teachers in the assigned curricular area.
Collaborate with department staff and management to develop effective instructional and assessment techniques.
Coordinate professional development and content-specific growth activities.
Disaggregate student data and help set program goals.
Prepare and maintain narrative and statistical reports related to assigned activities.
