Job summary

Great Hearts Academies in Helotes, Texas seeks an ESL Coordinator/Teacher to coordinate and deliver ESL services across K-12 on multiple campuses (Invictus Upper and Lower). The role includes identifying emergent bilingual students, reviewing data, planning LPAC meetings, and supervising ESL staff to meet the academic and language objectives.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree, valid Texas teaching certification with bilingual Spanish endorsement or ESL supplemental, and experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required.
• Valid/Current Texas Teacher Certification required.
• Valid Texas Bilingual Spanish Endorsement or ESL Supplemental required.
• Texas Teaching Certification in a Generalist or Core Content Area covering assigned grades required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procedures to identify emergent bilingual students at all grades.
• Develop and revise bilingual and ESL curriculum as needed.
• Assist teachers with curriculum modification and accelerations for bilingual students.
• Plan and conduct LPAC meetings and language assessments.
• Manage ESL classroom, schedules, and supervise ESL staff.
