Job summary

Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI) is seeking a Loan Operations Escrow Processor 1 to coordinate property taxes and insurance for real estate loans within the Loan Operations Department.

You will review escrowed accounts for compliance, prepare tax and insurance remittances, and maintain accurate tax data with the bank's servicing vendor. Strong detail-orientation and Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associates Degree in business related field or equivalent work experience preferred
• All applicants must be 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

• Review accounts with property taxes and insurances that are escrowed to ensure they adhere to federal regulations
• Prepare remittance for property taxes as due
• Prepare remittance for hazard insurance premiums on a monthly basis
• Prepare remittance for mortgage insurance premiums as due
• Research and maintenance tax data through the banks tax servicing vendor
• Prepare documentation for the creation of an escrow account for existing loans
• Prepare and send regulatory letters when cancelling property taxes and insurance
• Process escrow payment transactions and maintenance the system accordingly
• Function as a resource for branch personnel with escrow questions; communicate with customers, insurance companies and real property tax collectors regarding escrowed accounts
• Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all training requirements in a timely manner
