Job summary

First American's Direct division is seeking an Escrow Officer in Grand Rapids, MI, to manage real estate escrow accounts, process closings, and ensure accurate funds handling. This in-office role requires strong decision-making, clear communication, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with title teams and clients to complete transactions, prepare closing documents, and monitor compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of escrow-related experience.
• Experience directly handling escrow transactions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and adaptability to new software.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Complete real estate escrow transactions by determining requirements
• Act as neutral liaison between file parties and mitigate risk
• Ensure funds are properly accounted for and disbursed
• Prepare regular reports on escrow status
• Examine property titles, mortgages, and trust deeds
• Prepare legal documents for closings and finalize statements
