Job summary

Spectrum is seeking an ESC Leave of Absence Specialist to guide leave programs, resolve complex cases, and partner with leadership to refine processes, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.

You will administer leave programs, manage vendors and cases, support return-to-work and accommodations, and act as the SME for leave programs across business units. A Bachelor's degree in HR and 3+ years LOA/ADA experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of LOA and/or ADA experience in a large complex organization.
• Knowledge of leave administration, including FMLA and ADA.
• Knowledge of employment laws related to leave of absence.

Responsibilities

• Administer leave programs and policies according to federal and state employment laws.
• Oversee all aspects of leave programs and vendors, managing cases and claims administration.
• Collaborate with HR, medical professionals, legal counsel, and workers’ compensation adjusters to support return-to-work and accommodations.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for leave programs, consulting and guiding business units and HR leadership.
• Make recommendations and support the ADA interactive process for individual accommodation requests.
• Liaise between business stakeholders, employees, and third-party administration vendors to enhance program outcomes.
• Develop metrics, audit, and evaluate LOA program performance, proactively identifying improvement opportunities.
