Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include a basic educational requirement and specialized experience for the series.
For GS-12 level, specialized experience must include planning and conducting investigations related to fish and wildlife resources, and conducting consultations under the Endangered Species Act.
Experience documenting environmental assessments and reports to evaluate impacts on wildlife resources.

Responsibilities

Conduct Endangered Species Act section 7 consultations with Federal agencies on renewable energy projects.
Conduct NEPA reviews with other Federal agencies for diverse projects, primarily renewable energy.
Review project surveys and environmental reports for consistency and compliance.
Provide technical support to internal and external partners on project design and interpretation of site-specific projects.
Identify resource needs and recommendations for ESA-listed species relative to inter-agency planning.
Produce maps and other products for project evaluations.
