Job summary

Targa Resources Corp. is seeking an ES&H Technician – Stack Testing to support the Emissions Team across West Texas and New Mexico.

The role covers engine emissions testing, data review, and coordination with third-party contractors to ensure compliance with air quality regulations. Based in Odessa, Monahans, and Kermit, TX, the technician will interact with operations, maintenance, and environmental staff, driving safe, on-time testing and accurate reporting for a large natural gas

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of field operations or mechanical experience.
• Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and others.
• Must work with a minimum of supervision and manage multiple tasks.
• Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and operate a man-lift.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 75 pounds.
• Able to work in changing climate conditions and a plant environment.
• Follow PPE guidelines (eye protection, footwear, Nomex).
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Perform engine and emissions testing on assigned units according to schedules and regulations.
• Coordinate with maintenance and operations to plan testing and meet deadlines.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot engine performance and emissions issues.
• Manage emissions testing schedules and third-party contractors.
• Provide QA/QC oversight for testing deliverables.
• Maintain emissions testing documentation and records.
• Review test reports for technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate results and scheduling concerns to affected teams.
• Complete assigned work and assist with other tasks.
