Job summary

Electrolux Midea Appliance Manufacturing in Anderson, SC seeks a seasoned EH&S leader to establish and operate the plant's EH&S management system, ensuring OSHA/EPA compliance and a zero-incident safety culture on the factory floor.

You will train staff, perform risk assessments, drive environmental compliance and waste reduction, manage permits, and serve as liaison to OSHA/EPA, reporting to the Plant Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing ES&H management experience (factory environment preferred).
• OSHA 30-Hour General Industry training certificate.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards (General Industry 29 CFR 1910) including LOTO, confined space, PPE, etc.
• Familiarity with EPA environmental regulations (Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA).
• Experience in safety management system development, risk assessment, and incident investigations.
• Excellent English communication skills, able to write ES&H documents and interface with regulators.
• Proficient in MS Office and ES&H management software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the plant's safety management system.
• Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and risk assessments for all positions.
• Lead high-risk safety operations including LOTO, confined space, and hot work.
• Organize safety committee meetings and track hazard rectifications.
• Establish safety KPIs and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
• Develop annual safety training plans and conduct orientations and refresher courses.
• Ensure EPA and SC environmental regulatory compliance and manage permits.
• Manage occupational health measures including PPE, health surveillance, and ergonomic improvements.
• Lead incident investigations using RCA and coordinate with OSHA/EPA inspectors.
• Serve as the primary liaison with OSHA, EPA and other regulators.
