Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking an experienced ESH professional to implement corporate, field, and office safety policies across multiple project sites in the United States. The role focuses on building a strong safety culture, guiding teams, and ensuring compliance with OSHA/MSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations.

You will lead safety programs, coordinate with project leadership and subcontractors, review incidents, train personnel, and support cost-control through effective injury management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety & Health or related field (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of ESH experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT and EPA regulations.
• Accreditations preferred: CHST, ASP, CSP, ICRA.
• Industrial hygiene knowledge and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety across internal teams, partners, and customers.
• Uphold safety culture and standards at project sites.
• Manage safety programs across projects, including CCIP.
• Provide regulatory guidance and tool/process reviews.
• Monitor audits, observations, and injury stats to identify risks.
• Develop corporate safety trends with leadership.
• Support compliance with OSHA/MSHA and incident reporting.
• Oversee training to support Safety 360 and subcontractor compliance.
• Interface with leaders, supervision, and government agencies.
