GM Performance Power Units in Concord, NC is seeking an expert ERS Electronics Lead to guide our ERS team. You’ll direct the architecture, integration, and refinement of all electronic systems for the hybrid power unit, focusing on high‑reliability power electronics, CU‑K inverters, DC‑DC converters, and harnessing under FIA standards.

Lead a multidisciplinary team of electrical engineers and collaborate with controls software, mechanical, and thermal groups to deliver race‑ready ERS

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of high‑voltage inverter or power electronics design.
• Proficiency in PCB design tools (Altium preferred) and simulation software for power/thermal modeling.
• Demonstrated success in high power inverter design and EMI/EMC mitigation in motorsports.

Responsabilidades

• Define system specs, efficiency benchmarks, and milestones for ERS electronics (CU‑K inverters, DC‑DC, power distribution, sensors, cabling).
• Direct cross‑functional teams to unify ERS electronics into the powertrain for peak efficiency, weight reduction, and durability.
• Supervise hardware prototyping, rig testing, and performance refinements (EMC, thermal, HV cycling).
• Conduct technical gate reviews, risk assessments (FMEA), and FIA rule adherence for ERS power limits and safety.
• Promote R&D in semiconductors, compact packaging, high‑voltage connectors, and scalable manufacturing.
