Job summary

Henry Broch Foods is seeking a Systems Engineer Lead to oversee ERP implementation, maintenance, and integrations across the organization. You will configure systems, manage upgrades, and develop APIs and reporting tools while supporting users and training staff.

The role covers Linux-based environments, databases (MySQL, MS SQL Server), and internal software tools. On-site work in a food manufacturing setting is required with PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in writing and troubleshooting SQL queries.
• Experience with MySQL, MS SQL Server, or other relational databases.
• Experience supporting ERP systems, APIs, middleware, or related business applications.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
• Strong communication, organization, follow-through, and documentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Experience with Python or Go is preferred.
• Familiarity with Common Lisp, Power BI, and AI-assisted coding tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead ERP implementation, maintenance, configuration, and optimization.
• Gather business requirements and translate into system configurations and integrations.
• Coordinate system upgrades, patches, testing, enhancements, and deployments.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and identify root causes.
• Develop and support APIs, middleware, data connections, and integrations.
• Write and troubleshoot SQL queries for reporting and data validation.
• Support MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Administer Linux VMs using Systemd, Cron, and OpenSSH.
• Maintain internal software tools, scripts, and automated processes.
• Support existing Common Lisp middleware; evaluate modernization with Go or Python.
• Create reports, data extracts, technical docs, user guides, training materials.
• Provide user training and ongoing technical support.
• Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and internal IT resources.
• Lead and mentor assigned technical resources.
