Job summary

City of Chesapeake IT is seeking an IT Systems Analyst to support the City's enterprise financial applications, including PeopleSoft Financials. The role provides both technical and functional support, along with testing and upgrades, to ensure smooth operations.

The ideal candidate will have ERP/financial systems experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to collaborate with technical staff and business users. Local government experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or closely related field.
• Minimum two years of full-time equivalent experience.
• CJIS/VCIN compliance and driving license required.
• Ability to work in a City environment with potential overtime.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support for PeopleSoft Financials and related applications.
• Troubleshoot issues involving applications, configuration, workflows, security, reporting, and user access.
• Analyze business requirements and recommend system solutions.
• Assist with configuration and maintenance of PeopleSoft Financials modules.
• Develop and maintain PeopleSoft queries, reports, and other reporting solutions.
• Assist with SQL queries and SSRS reports development and maintenance.
• Support PeopleSoft workflows, interfaces, and integrations.
• Participate in system testing and post-implementation validation.
• Document changes and provide user training as needed.
