Job summary

AutomationDirecthybrid role available for an ERP Systems Administrator II to own and optimize enterprise applications including ERP, PIM, forecasting, and order management. You will forecast issues, implement improvements, and coach teams while maintaining strong vendor and IT partnerships.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years supporting large enterprise apps, strong SQL, Windows/cloud app experience, and a proactive mindset to prevent problems before they impact operations.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years supporting enterprise applications with direct responsibility for system health, troubleshooting, and vendor coordination.
  • Proficiency administering Windows-based and/or cloud-hosted business applications.
  • Proficiency with SQL query development and data analysis.
  • Working competency with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall project delivery methodologies.
  • Experience in ecommerce, distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex application issues independently, analyze root causes, and architect solutions that prevent recurrence.
  • Demonstrated history of a proactive approach: anticipating issues, identifying what needs to be done, and acting on it without waiting for direction.
  • Understanding accounting, business, and wholesale distribution principles.
  • Experience in business requirements elicitation and business analysis.
  • Experience utilizing AI-assisted tools for operational support, administration, automation, documentation, testing, or process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Own all support and operational issues for assigned enterprise applications (ERP, PIM, Forecasting, Order Management, and related integrated systems).
  • Build and continuously improve monitoring, alerting, and system-health measurement to forecast and resolve problems.
  • Partner with vendors and IT operations to ensure performance.
  • Engage business operations to analyze requests and craft system improvements.
  • Lead technical coordination and execution on small to mid-sized projects.
  • Design, execute, and report on testing for new system improvements and bug fixes.
  • Build and deliver training plans and documentation for new system features.
  • Deploy software updates and enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures, support docs, and knowledge base articles.
  • Mentor and train others on best practices for the supported systems.

ERP Systems Administrator II
Objective:

We seek an ERP Systems Administrator who operates with self-directed ownership, a strong commitment to collaboration, and the desire to become and thrive as the technical expert over our enterprise applications. This person sees what needs to be done, forecasting and resolving application problems before they impact operations, while building technical expertise, coaching others on best practices, and acting on it. They work with significant autonomy and independent judgment within the established technical direction, collaborating effectively across business operations, vendor partners, and IT teams to ensure AutomationDirect's enterprise applications (ERP, PIM, Forecasting, Order Management, and related integrated systems) run reliably, perform optimally, and deliver the value the organization depends on.

This person takes active ownership of incidents, application monitoring, enhancement activities, project coordination, testing, training, and troubleshooting. They are the technical expert and trusted advisor for these critical systems. They embrace change and ambiguity, adapt rapidly to new technologies and shifting business priorities, and maintain focus amid competing demands.

This is a hybrid position working at least 3 days per week in our Cumming, GA office.

  • Design, execute, and report on application testing for new system improvements, releases,
    enhancements, and bug fixes.
  • Build and deliver training plans and documentation for new system improvements.
  • Deploy software updates and enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures, support documentation, and knowledge base
    articles.
  • Mentor and train other employees on best support practices for the supported systems.

Qualifications
Required

  • Proficiency administering Windows-based and/or cloud-hosted business applications.
  • Proficiency with SQL query development and data analysis.
  • Working Competency with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall project delivery methodologies.
  • Experience in ecommerce, distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex application issues independently, analyze root
    causes, and architect solutions that prevent recurrence.
  • Demonstrated history of a proactive approach: anticipating issues, identifying what needs to be
