Job summary

Deltek is seeking a Business Application Systems Engineer II to support ERP platforms and core financial systems across the full lifecycle. You will partner with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and Audit to translate business requirements into scalable designs and reliable interfaces.

You will lead ERP integrations with CRM, HRIS, data warehouses, and third-party vendors, using iPaaS tools while performing advanced troubleshooting and ensuring data accuracy and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 8–10 years of experience in an IT environment.
• 6–8 years of experience as a developer and/or system engineer.
• Experience leading complex projects/tasks.
• Experience with database deployments, schema changes, maintenance planning, data integrity checks, and supporting production and audit needs.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex data issues across ERP, integrations, and reporting layers.
• Experience in full project life cycle development for systems and applications.
• Experience integrating and customizing business applications.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels.
• Strong desire to learn latest technologies and ability to acquire knowledge quickly.
• Exceptional problem-solving and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain, and enhance ERP platforms and core financial systems (GL, Order-to-Cash, P2P, Revenue, Billing).
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Revenue, Tax, and Audit to translate requirements into scalable designs.
• Design, configure, and deliver ERP enhancements across full lifecycle.
• Lead and contribute to ERP integrations with CRM, HRIS, Data Warehouses, and vendors.
• Utilize iPaaS to build, monitor, and support reliable interfaces.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for ERP/data issues.
• Participate in Agile delivery including backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing, and release management.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, developers, and PMs to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
• Develop architectural diagrams, integration docs, and runbooks for audit readiness.
• Identify opportunities to leverage automation and AI to improve processes.

Job Title :Business Application Systems Engineer | System Engineer II

Position Responsibilities :

• Support, maintain, and enhance ERP platforms and core financial systems, including General Ledger, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Revenue Recognition, Billing, and connected systems.
• Partner closely with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Revenue, Tax, and Audit teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable system designs and solutions.
• Design, configure, and deliver ERP enhancements across the full lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and postgolive support.
• Lead and contribute to ERP integrations between financial systems and adjacent platforms such as CRM, HRIS, Data Warehouses, and thirdparty vendors.
• Utilize integration platforms (iPaaS) to build, monitor, and support reliable, secure, and auditable system interfaces.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex ERP, integration, and data issues, ensuring accuracy of financial data and system reliability.
• Participate in Agile delivery, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing, and release management for ERP and finance-related initiatives.
• Collaborate with solution architects, business system analysts, developers, and project managers to evaluate technical options and deliver secure, compliant, and scalable solutions.
• Develop and maintain architectural diagrams, integration documentation, and operational runbooks to support system integrity, audit readiness, and knowledge sharing.
• Identify and implement opportunities to leverage automation and AI to improve processes, data quality, operational efficiency, and user experience.
• Participate in code reviews and change management (release) process to develop and implement new applications and updates to existing applications.
• Interface with third-party software vendors to elevate and resolve integration and software/technical issues.
• Maintain pulse on emerging tools, software practices, and technologies to improve solution cost and quality.

Technical Knowledge & Skills

• Experience supporting enterprise ERP systems (e.g., financial modules, order management, billing, revenue, procurement).
• Strong proficiency with REST APIs, JSON, XML, event-based integrations, and data transformation patterns.
• Experience withIPass solutions such asPower Automate,UIPath, MuleSoft, Boomi, and IBMAppConnect
• Hands on experience and knowledge of DBA tasks, including deployment maintenance planning, string manipulation, and authoring SQL statements
• Experience with Microsoft technologies such as Azure, Power Platform, Power Automate, and related services is a plus. Experience with Enterprise Applications Production support ( On Prem and SaaS )
• Experience with PowerShell or similar scripting tools to support automation, deployments, and operational support.
