The ERP Project Manager, D365 at SmartEdge IT provides a high degree of leadership to the project team, serving to facilitate the activities that meet the project objectives both on-time and on-budget. In this opportunity you will be responsible for ERP project plan creation and management, scope adherence, activity planning and facilitation, budget planning and reporting, project staffing, client relationship management, risk management, and reporting.

Note:This is a remote opportunity and can be based from any location in the United States.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Provide hands-on project management leadership for all project implementation activities, go-live, upgrade or major enhancement “projects”
2. For all assigned projects, ensure project management planning and status review processes are completed with regularity each week and PM deliverables are kept current
3. Ensure project team follows SmartEdge IT Methodology and is producing deliverables to standards and on schedule. Participate in weekly resource planning with other PMs and management to get resources assigned to project tasks in an efficient manner to use available resources
4. Act as customer advocate, ensuring a project’s approach and deliverables are focused on meeting the client’s most critical objectives.
5. Review and understand the contractual terms and scope of assigned projects
6. Conduct both an Internal Project Kickoff meeting and a Client Project Kickoff meeting
7. Review key deliverables to assure scope and budget remain aligned
8. Hold weekly status meetings and create progress/issues report
9. Maintain the Project Plan using Microsoft Project
10. Tracking and managing the project budget and producing any necessary change orders.
11. Ensure Tasks, Time and Expense entry is being completed in system
12. Communicate key dates, risks, and impediments to all project stakeholders and create regular progress reports for consumption by C-level client executives.
13. Create and maintain detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project
14. Ensure project setup, time, and expense entry are recorded properly
15. Perform time and expense reviews

Skill Requirements & Experience:

1. 3+ years project management experience in ERP enterprise environment, including the management of budget, risks, resources, scope, issues, changes and quality
2. Prior implementation and consulting experience with ERP enterprise systems is required
3. Experience in managing Enterprise-size projects, implementing a Microsoft Dynamics ERP solution is required
4. BA/BS in MIS, Computer Science, Accounting or equivalent is preferred
5. Knowledge of ERP systems as they relate to effective and efficient business processes
6. Thorough knowledge of ERP implementation methodology, understanding all major project management activities, typical project risks, etc.
7. Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Project to manage project activities and load-balance resources, etc.
8. Thorough knowledge of all major project management activities, including risk assessments
9. Experience aligning project deliverables and customer expectations using Microsoft Project
10. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization
11. Coaching and/or mentoring experience with excellent presentation skills
12. Budget management and reporting experience for mid to large enterprise projects
13. Experience in project estimation and SOW writing/editing
14. Experience working with global project team
15. Ability to travel up to 25%
