Optimas OE Solutions is seeking a Planning Specialist in Wood Dale, IL to manage PO and SO accuracy within Epicor and collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering and Production.

The role emphasizes data integrity, cross-functional coordination, and timely order processing in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. No direct reports; bonus eligibility applies for exceptional performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar planning, purchasing, or order management role.
• Experience working within an ERP system (Epicor preferred) and reconciling data across platforms such as NetSuite.
• Proven ability to manage multiple open orders and PO's simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with manufacturing/distribution supply chain and order-to-cash processes.

Responsibilities

• Purchase order management: verify pricing, lead time, and quantity; act as point of contact for buyers.
• Sales order maintenance: enter/maintain open sales orders; reconcile with Epicor and NetSuite.
• Cross-functional coordination with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Production on new part creation, MOM requests, and Program/VMI parts.
• Expedite/deferral management: review reports, update or cancel orders after approval, attend daily expedite meetings.
• Planning department support: assist Planning Manager with day-to-day admin tasks and record-keeping.
