Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Critical Power Solutions Division in Richmond, VA is seeking a Configuration Analyst to join our team. You will support engineering and operations by managing engineering data, BOMs, and ERP configurations, ensuring accuracy and timely access across departments.

Applicants should have an associate degree or 2 years related experience, plus CAD experience and ERP/PLM knowledge to manage ECN/ECO work streams and product data effectively.

Qualifications

• 2-year associate's degree or 2 years related experience.
• Experience using PLM systems for BOM management, configuration control, and engineering change processes (ECR/ECO).
• Experience with ERP systems and understanding of how engineering data interfaces with manufacturing, sourcing, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Support Engineering Teams with releasing documents and updating them in ERP system.
• Ensure all engineering documents are properly revision-controlled following established processes.
• Examine engineering documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Work with engineer originating the document to troubleshoot and resolve any discrepancies.
• Process and implement Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and Deviations and follow up to resolve issues and get approvals.
• Support part number creation and updates using the Product Data Management (PDM) tool.
• Generate and update Bill of Materials (BOMs) to support both Engineer-to-Order (ETO) and Configure-to-Order (CTO) product lines.
• Ensure engineering documents are available to other departments in a timely manner and in accordance with established processes.
