Job summary

International Monetary Fund is seeking an experienced contractual Business Analyst to support ERP financial applications including PeopleSoft. The role involves gathering requirements, documenting processes, and coordinating testing and deployment while contributing to modernization initiatives and governed AI-enabled capabilities.

Qualifications

• Advanced university degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business administration, finance, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated business analysis experience supporting ERP financial or enterprise administrative applications.
• Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft Financials or a comparable ERP platform such as Oracle Fusion ERP, SAP, or Workday.
• Strong understanding of financial management or related corporate processes and ability to translate needs into ERP requirements.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for ERP application enhancements.
• Develop process flows, business rules, user stories, acceptance criteria, traceability, and related artifacts.
• Assess business needs, gaps, dependencies, risks, and operational impacts to support prioritization.
• Support testing, including test scenarios, defect triage, and business validation.
• Coordinate release-readiness activities, including approvals, deployment planning, and documentation.
• Collaborate with product owners, platform teams, architects, vendors, and stakeholders to align solutions with standards.
• Support Statements of Work, service-provider coordination, and vendor deliverables within BA activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve ERP-enabled processes through configuration, reporting, workflow optimization, or AI-assisted capabilities.
• Assess AI use cases for value, data readiness, privacy, security, risk, and oversight.
• Validate AI outputs against authoritative sources and business rules, escalating risks as needed.
