Job summary

Addison Group in Skokie, IL is seeking a Software Developer to build and maintain integrations between the organization’s ERP platform and other business systems, primarily using GraphQL and REST APIs. The role also supports internal applications built with C#/.NET, JavaScript, and jQuery in a Microsoft environment.

The position requires 1-3 years of software development experience, strong SQL Server skills, and familiarity with behavior-driven development and Git.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1-3 years of professional software development experience in a business environment.
• Experience with C#/.NET and JavaScript including jQuery.
• Strong MS SQL Server experience; writing, modifying, troubleshooting queries and stored procedures.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with GraphQL or willingness to learn quickly.
• Experience with system integrations and data exchange between apps.
• Experience using Git or other source-control platforms.
• Experience with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports, SSRS, Power BI Report Server, or similar.
• Familiarity with behavior-driven development and Gherkin syntax, or willingness to learn.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to research and learn new technologies independently.
• Ability to translate operational needs into technical solutions with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain integrations between the ERP platform and other business systems.
• Work with GraphQL/REST APIs to enable data exchange and automation.
• Develop internal applications using C#/.NET, JavaScript and jQuery in a Microsoft environment.
• Follow established development standards and perform testing including behavior-driven testing where applicable.
