Job summary

Mercer Valve Company, Inc. is seeking an ERP/Accounting IT liaison to support the transition of its ERP system to Sage 100 Premium.

The role will be the primary liaison between Accounting and IT, assisting with system setup, data validation, end-user training and testing. Responsibilities include gathering requirements for Sage 100 Premium, participating in implementation meetings, supporting data conversion, validating migrated data and developing training materials; then delivering end-user

Qualifications

• Proficient in Excel and Word.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and business processes.
• Experience using ERP or accounting systems; familiarity with BusinessMan and/or Sage 100 Premium preferred.
• Detail-oriented approach to data validation, testing, documentation and follow-up.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary IT contact for the accounting team.
• Support the transition of BusinessMan to Sage 100 Premium.
• Assist with gathering, documenting and communicating accounting and operational requirements for Sage 100 Premium implementation.
• Participate in software implementation meetings and project planning sessions.
• Support data conversion activities, including validation and reconciliation of migrated data.
• Assist in resolving system issues and coordinating testing and corrective actions.
• Validate transaction processing, reporting and financial data accuracy.
• Assist in developing training materials and user documentation.
• Conduct training sessions for end users on Sage ERP processes and functionality.
