The position emphasizes enforcing ordinances, issuing citations, and maintaining inspection records in line with NPDES requirements and county policies.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Natural Resources, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Five years of construction/related experience including two years in inspection or code enforcement.
• Valid State of Georgia Driver’s License; Level 1B Certification for Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control or ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Inspect residential, commercial, and industrial sites for compliance with codes and plans.
• Review plans and perform site inspections, including erosion control and stormwater.
• Notify and cite violations; coordinate stop-work orders when needed.
• Maintain inspection records and prepare reports.
