Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ergonomics, occupational safety, kinesiology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, industrial engineering, human factors, biomechanics, or related field.
• Experience conducting ergonomic assessments in workplace, clinical, industrial, office, or operational settings.
• Working knowledge of musculoskeletal injury prevention, human anatomy, biomechanics, task analysis, and workstation design.
• Ability to assess work environments and communicate recommendations to employees and leaders.
• Strong written documentation, presentation, training, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple evaluations, projects, and follow-up activities with accurate records.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to use assessment tools, checklists, and data tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ergonomic evaluations of workstations, tasks, tools, equipment, workflows, and employee practices.
• Identify ergonomic risk factors such as awkward posture, forceful exertion, repetition, vibration, and manual handling.
• Develop evidence-based recommendations to reduce risk and improve comfort, safety, and productivity.
• Collaborate with leaders, safety teams, health, facilities, engineering, and operations to implement improvements.
• Recommend equipment, workstation changes, and process adjustments based on needs.
• Provide individual and group education on safe body mechanics and workstation setup.
• Support injury prevention, return-to-work, and accommodation processes in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Document assessments, findings, recommendations, and follow-up outcomes clearly.
• Track trends, injury data, and program metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
• Stay current with ergonomic standards, health practices, and regulatory requirements.
