Job summary

General Motors is seeking an Ergonomics Coordinator for Fort Wayne Assembly to join the UAW-GM Joint Ergonomics Technical Team (JETT). You will co-lead programs to minimize cumulative trauma injuries, analyze data, and implement durable solutions across plant operations.

You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, and engineering teams, driving continuous improvement and training initiatives while prioritizing safety and innovation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering/ergonomics.
  • 3+ years ergonomics experience in manufacturing/assembly.
  • Proven ability to train, coach, and develop employees.

Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to reduce cumulative trauma injuries on the plant using data and root-cause analysis.
  • Analyze data/conditions, identify risk, develop and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate with Product Design, Manufacturing Engineering, and Industrial Engineering teams.
  • Input issues into GM TED or related systems and track metrics and trends.
  • Provide regular updates to the Plant Safety Review Board.
  • Drive ergonomic-related innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead injury reduction programs and training sessions as needed.
  • Support corporate ergonomic activities and new product planning.
