Tyson Foods is seeking a Safety/Ergonomics Liaison to support the implementation of our safety and ergonomic program at the plant level. The role involves daily interaction with Team Members, conducting root cause prevention in the HMP program, and performing audits to ensure compliant safety practices on each shift.

SUMMARY: This position will be serving as a liaison in the proper implementation of our safety/ergonomic program.
TASKS: This position requires daily interaction with Team Members in the HMP program investigation of new illness cases to ensure that effective root cause prevention was attained and preventative measures are being followed on each shift. Requires writing and follow up of work orders in Plant view performing various ergonomic/safety audits and entering information to tracking systems. This position requires facilitating ergonomic program, awareness training at the hourly level, knife sharpness audits, assisting AHTs with fitting new Team Members with the proper equipment and other tasks as assigned.
Education: High school diploma or Equivalent preferred. Experience: 1+ yrs. experience in a food manufacturing facility required. Communication: Ability to communicate with all levels of management. Written, verbal and comprehension. Computer Skills: Applicant must have basic to intermediate computer skills to include basic data entry to Plant view Excel and other Microsoft Office software. Travel: None.
This position is slated for candidates who are currently working at this facility. Priority consideration will be provided to these applicants first. If local Team Members are not selected, Team Members from other locations and external candidates will then be reviewed for consideration.
