Job summary

Tyson Foods in the United States is seeking an Automation Tech 6 for the Prepared Foods Division. This role requires proficiency with welding (TIG and MIG), reading blueprints, and interpreting measuring devices such as gauges, calipers, indicators, and micrometers to support metal and plastic work.

Education: AS in Electronics Technology or related field plus 2+ years in industrial maintenance or automation; SAP Maintenance a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: AS in Electronics Technology or closely related technical field.
• 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or automation; some electrical and mechanical experience required.
• Must be proficient or willing to become proficient in SAP Maintenance.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Reverse engineer small parts as needed.
• Weld using TIG and MIG processes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and measuring devices.
• Cut, square, mill, tape, bore; work with metal and plastic.

SUMMARY:

SUMMARY: This position requires proficiency in the following areas; reverse engineer small parts as needed; weld (TIG and MIG); read and interpret blueprints; read and interpret various measuring devices such as gauges, calipers, indicators and micrometers; cut, square, mill, tape and bore; work with all types of metal and plastic.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Training beyond high school including either an Associate (A.S.) degree in Electronics Technology (or closely related technical field), or a combination of education and experience which may include skilled trades programs or military training. Experience: 2+ years of experience in a related field; industrial maintenance or automation experience preferred; some experience in electrical and mechanical required. Computer Skills: Standard computer skills; must have strong skills in document organization, the use of technical materials, and research techniques. Must either be proficient or become proficient in SAP Maintenance. Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with all team members. Supervisory: NA Travel: As needed. Must reside in the United States to be considered. No sponsorship available with this position. Priority given to local candidates.
