Job summary

Emergency Veterinary Care Centers (EVCC) Kalamazoo is hiring an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician (LVT) for day shift. You’ll handle triage, treatments, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing alongside doctors in a fast-paced, compassionate ER environment.

You’ll collaborate on complex cases, communicate with pet parents, and grow your skills in advanced diagnostics and life-saving care while enjoying competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (Associate’s + VTNE passed)
• 2+ years of veterinary experience (ER preferred)
• Basic computer skills and practice management software/electronic medical record keeping
• Excellent communicator and calm under pressure
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40lbs (up to 80lbs with assistance)

Responsibilities

• Triage and treat patients from minor to complex emergencies
• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support in critical moments
• Assist with anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing
• Collaborate with doctors and team to plan care and maintain flow
• Handle diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement
• Advocate for patients by identifying changes and communicating with the team
