MedVet Medical & Cancer Centers for Pets in Cincinnati is hiring an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced ER team. You will work closely with the DVM and patient care staff to deliver high-quality critical care and client communication.

Qualifications

• State license as a Veterinary Technician is required.
• Previous veterinary emergency experience preferred.
• Proficient calculations for drugs and dosages.
• Flexible to work variable shifts.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Record and deliver organized rounds and discuss cases.
• Evaluate incoming patients and prioritize based on assessment.
• Collaborate with patient care team on treatment plans and nursing care.
• Provide client education on home care and medications.
• Assist DVM with patient assessment and procedures.
• Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients.
• Induce and monitor general anesthesia and sedation.
• Perform in-house lab testing and prep samples for outside labs.
