Confidential is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician with UC/ER experience to support veterinarians in care and treatment of animals. The role emphasizes animal handling, critical care, and compassionate pet care in a private 24/7 hospital setting with over 20 doctors.

You will assist during examinations and procedures, perform tests and imaging, manage medications, and educate owners on proper animal care.

Qualifications

• Experience with dog handling and general animal husbandry.
• Familiarity with veterinary critical care procedures preferred.
• Knowledge of animal physiology and behavior essential.
• Strong communication skills with pet owners and team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures.
• Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging.
• Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor animal patients pre- and post-operatively.
• Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
• Provide compassionate care to animals in the clinic or kennel setting.
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care and health maintenance.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques.
• Handle dogs and other animals safely and effectively during procedures.
