PetVet Care Centers’ Carolina Veterinary Specialists – Charlotte is seeking a Veterinary Assistant for weekend daytime shifts in Charlotte, NC. The role supports the Emergency department flow, triages patients, assists in diagnostics and anesthesia, and communicates with clients and staff.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of veterinary assistant experience (2-5 years preferred).
• Must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate instruments used in the Emergency department.
• Receive incoming emergencies, triage patient and monitor vitals; accurate histories.
• Assist in diagnostic procedures including blood work, radiographs, ultrasounds, ECG monitoring.
• Properly document vitals and trends on anesthesia flow sheet.
• Communicate patient status to Emergency Doctor and other staff.
