BluePearl in Olympia, WA is seeking a knowledgeable Veterinary Assistant to join our fast-paced Emergency department. You will triage emergency cases, assist the DVM, perform diagnostics, set up ICU/inpatient care, discharge patients, and support client communications.

Qualifications

• Experience in emergency veterinary care or fast-paced hospital settings.
• Ability to assist with radiographs and basic lab work.
• Familiarity with anesthesia monitoring and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients per hospital standards and core values.
• Report patient signalment, problem list and plan during rounds.
• Administer medications via appropriate routes and durations.
• Perform phlebotomy and basic patient assessments.
• Assist with anesthesia monitoring and intensive care tasks.
• Communicate effectively with clients and care teams.
