Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Veterinary Assistant to join their fast-paced emergency department. You will triage emergency cases, assist DVM with treatment planning, perform diagnostics, and help manage ICU or Inpatient wards, discharging patients and communicating with clients.

The role includes administering medications, phlebotomy, and conducting physical exams with attention to vital signs and anesthesia monitoring.

Qualifications

• Experience in veterinary emergency care preferred.
• Ability to triage emergency cases and assist DVM with treatment planning.

Responsibilities

• Triage emergency cases and assist DVM with crafting and going over estimates.
• Perform diagnostics (radiographs, labs) and set patients up in ICU or Inpatient ward.
• Discharge patients and handle client communication.
• Administer medications and monitor therapeutic response.
• Perform phlebotomy and physical exams including vital signs.
