Small Animal Emergency Services is seeking a veterinary assistant with 2+ years of experience for an emergency care setting. The role requires night, weekend, and holiday availability and involves triage, lab work, imaging, nursing care, and client communication.
Responsibilities include surgical prep, anesthesia assistance, and maintaining medical records, with compensation and benefits discussed during interview.
Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

$18 - $22/hr. depending on experience level and licensure
