Job summary

Fort Washington Medical Center seeks an experienced Unit Support Coordinator for our Emergency Room to support the mission of extending God’s care through physical, mental, and spiritual healing. The role involves coordinating department operations, processing physician orders, and performing clerical duties.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least 6 months hospital/clinical office experience, medical terminology knowledge, and proficiency with PC, Internet, and email.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months experience working in a hospital or doctor's office.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Proficient in PC, Internet, and email required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Training in data entry of clinical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support departmental operations by providing effective and timely communications, maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment, maintaining data and related records, and performing clerical and other support services as directed.
• Responsible for processing physician orders, communication, and other general duties.
