Job summary

OU Health is seeking an Experienced RN to join the Trauma Control team in the Adult Emergency Department for PRN night shifts. You will provide high-quality care to patients with a range of conditions and collaborate with physicians and staff to deliver timely interventions.

The role requires strong nursing knowledge, a current RN license in Oklahoma, and BLS certification on hire. You will document care, monitor patients, administer meds, and participate in continuous improvement of patient

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• 1+ years of RN patient care experience.
• Current RN license (OK Board or eNLC).
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• Knowledge of nursing theory, practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Align behaviors with OU Health values and nursing standards.
• Assume responsibility for a patient or group of patients.
• Document patient responses and changes in orders.
• Assist physicians in exams and minor procedures.
• Monitor physiological data and intervene as needed.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Manage IV infusions and blood products.
• Provide safe, competent patient care.
• Discuss care plans with patients and families.
• Refer patient care needs to appropriate staff.
