Description

The Emergency Room Technician functions under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. He/she provides non-licensed direct patient care to neonate through geriatric patients. He/she assists the healthcare team by providing personal assistance to patients, caring for the patient, equipment, and supplies, and providing clerical and nursing care support services.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Successful completion of phlebotomy training within six (6) months of hire
• Current BCLS certification
• Phlebotomy proficiency preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Computer experience preferred
• Minimum one (1) year experience in a clinical setting, previous nursing assistant experience
