Description:

The Emergency Room Technician functions under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. They provide non-licensed direct patient care to patients from neonate to geriatric. They assist the healthcare team by caring for patients, equipment, and supplies, and by providing clerical and nursing care support services.

Minimum qualifications include:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Successful completion of phlebotomy training within six (6) months of hire
3. Current BCLS certification

Preferred qualifications:

• Phlebotomy proficiency
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Computer experience
• At least one (1) year of experience in a clinical setting
• Previous nursing assistant experience
