Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a compassionate CNA to support patient care during night shifts. You will assist with hygiene, mobility, and daily activities, while documenting care and ensuring patient safety.

The role emphasizes adherence to mission, vision, and values and coordination with the care team to promote timely admissions and transfers. Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, and validation of CNA/EMT/CMA licenses as applicable.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform essential patient care tasks.
• Ability to follow hospital policy and safety protocols.
• Ability to document care accurately and timely.

Responsibilities

• Rounds with previous shift staff to receive report on care given to patients.
• Delivers care using mission, vision, and value statements with patient-centric approach.
• Promotes timely patient placement by following hospital policy for admission, discharge, and transfer.
• Provides care including hygiene, comfort, and activities of daily living.
• Maintains skin integrity by turning and repositioning patients and reporting issues.
• Performs procedures such as specimen collection, dressing changes, IV removal, and basic nursing tasks.
• Documents patient care per policy: intake/output, vitals, meds, and specimens.
• Transports patients and equipment, assisting with lifting and ambulation safely.
• Supports nutrition: provides liquids, helps with meals, and adheres to restrictions.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Introduces self to patient and explains role; calls patient by preferred name.
• Follows patient identification policies and maintains a clean environment.
